You can add the Battery Widget which can display the Battery Percentage of your AirPods along with the Widgets for Weather, Fitness, Clock, Stocks, Calendar, News, Home, and Reminders. Image: AppleĪ) Widgets: Users will be able to add Apple’s widgets as well as third-party widgets (once the third-party apps have implemented it to add more utility to the Lock Screen. Subtle changes such as the smaller Lock icon which disappears when unlocked also add to the overall clean look of the Lock Screen. The “Suggested photos” section suggests photos that could be used on the Lock Screen. You can find them under Astronomy, Emoji, Color, and Pride. Apple already has several preset Lock Screens that are ready for use on iOS 16. One can personalize the look of their Lock Screen by adding both Apple’s widgets as well as third-party widgets (once they gain support) and by adding Photos as Wallpapers with options to shuffle them and filter the people on the photo. Apple has introduced several options for customization, including the ability to change the font & color for the time & date along with the ability to add several elements Lock Screen. Users will be able to create multiple Lock Screens and switch between them by simply long pressing, similar to the experience with Watch Faces on the Apple Watch. They have added several new features and made several changes that include Widgets & Live Activities to make the Lock Screen experience more personalized for the users. Now that iOS 16 is finally out of beta, Apple will be releasing iOS 16.0 to the public on September 12th, 2022 worldwide to all supported devices. The first beta of iOS 16.0 was released on June 6th after WWDC 2022. Apple Maps will also feature more details, custom-designed landmarks, a night-time mode, detailed road lanes for drivers, a much-improved transit interface and 3D walking directions with AR. Other improvements include a new notifications summary, a Live Text feature that can capture text in photos, a new higher-res Weather app and Wallet support for ID cards. So, for example, you might get a “fitness” focus mode suggestion at the gym. Another feature is Focus suggestion, which will bring up certain modes based on your location. There’s a new Focus mode that lets you match your device with your current mindset so when you’re at “work”, it’ll only show you work-related apps. This will work with photos, stories in Apple’s News app as well as playlists and shows on Apple Music and Apple TV.
